Black Hat 2021 (Virtual and In-Person)
After a year of virtual-only events, we are excited that Black Hat 2021 offers a unique hybrid event experience, offering the cybersecurity community a choice in how they wish to participate. The two-day main conference (August 4-5) featuring Briefings, Arsenal, Business Hall, and more will be a hybrid event—offering both a Virtual (online) Event and a Live, In-Person Event in Las Vegas.
If you are traveling to Black Hat, be sure to stop by booth #1773 to learn more about GoSecure Titan MDR as well as pick up some cool schwag. It will be refreshing to have face-to-face conversations! If you can’t make it to Las Vegas? No worries. Take advantage of the free Virtual Business Pass below.

Booth Activities / Chance to Win
Be sure to stop by our booth — #1773 — to learn how we protect customers against the latest threats and mitigate their risk. You’ll have an opportunity to see our solutions in a 1:1 setting via our demo kiosks. No time for a demo? No problem. We will have subject matter experts on hand to quickly answer any questions you may have.
Another reason to stop by our booth is a chance to win a Traeger Pro Series Pellet Grill, the best-selling pellet grill in the world. Even if you don’t win the grill, you can still pick up some GoSecure BBQ spice for your summer grilling.
We hope to see you at Black Hat 2021!
GoSecure Black Hat Presentations
As usual, the GoSecure research team is well represented at Black Hat, sharing their insights and expertise in the following:
The Mass Effect: How Opportunistic Workers Drift into Cybercrime
This presentation shares our research journey, depicting the actors involved in the operation of a botnet, their motivations, challenges, and an analysis of the informal market in which they grounded their criminal activities. Through this research, we hope to provide researchers, law enforcement officials and policy makers a better grasp on this type of cybercrime economy and a point of view that is closer to what these individuals actually experience. It can be used by developers or security professionals to find vulnerabilities in their code. The Black Hat Arsenal’s demonstrations will include a live code review where samples of vulnerability and practical methods will be showcased in the new IDE and CI environment. Complete details here.

PyRDP: Remote Desktop Protocol Monster-in-the-Middle (MITM)
PyRDP is a Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) monster-in-the-middle (MITM) tool and library useful in intrusion testing and malware research. Its out of the box offensive capabilities can be divided in three broad categories: client-side, MITM-side and server-side. Over the last year, we implemented several features that we are going to uncover in this brand-new Arsenal workshop: improved file interception and crawling, dynamic certificate cloning, CredSSP/NLA support with private certificate and key, dynamic NLA redirection, NTLMSSP hash logging, and more. Complete details here.
